LEADERSHIP JUDGEMENT
Michael Lock is co-author, with Bob Wheeler, of the Leadership Judgement Indicator (LJI-2) suite, including the Standard, Sales, Global, Local Government, and Fire and Rescue Service versions, published by Hogrefe.
This part of the website brings together material that many LJI users have never previously had access to: background documents explaining how the model was built, notes on the judgement questions that underpin the scenarios, and a range of developmental resources designed to help individuals and teams sharpen their decision-making in real workplace situations. It also includes historically important documents from the Formula 4 Leadership archive, shared to give practitioners a clearer line of sight from the original thinking through to the published tools, even where the design style reflects an earlier era.
The aim is to support more discerning, fair-minded use of the LJI in both selection and development, and to help organisations translate insight into leadership behaviours that make workplaces more genuinely inclusive, with an emphasis on the responsible, justifiable and legitimate use of power.
