Leadership Judgement Training Materials
LEADERSHIP JUDGEMENT TRAINING MATERIALS
If you already use the Leadership Judgement Indicator (LJI), you will know how powerful it can be as a prompt for discussion about which leadership approach fits which situation. This Training Manual is designed to take that learning further, giving you practical ways to develop leadership judgement in others through structured, experiential activities.
Most leadership models accept that effective leaders adapt their style to the task and the people involved. The real challenge is the next step: how do you decide which style to use, in this situation, right now? This Manual goes straight to the heart of that question, offering a principle-driven method for building sound leadership judgement.
Alongside guidance on using the video resources already on the website, the Manual provides ready-to-run small group exercises and workshop materials, designed to create lively debate and memorable learning.
It includes, for example:
• Video-based activities to help participants recognise and evaluate the four leadership styles in action ?
• Experiential small-group exercises (with role briefs and debrief sheets) that let people practise leading and being led ?
• Discussion scenarios with tutor guidance to help facilitators deepen reflection and lock in learning ?
These materials are aimed at anyone who wants a practical, workshop-friendly way to strengthen leadership capability, including managers, trainers, HR and L&D professionals, and facilitators who want to build confidence and consistency in how leadership choices are understood and discussed.
